I created a lyric video for Jordan Stephens’ song “Big Bad Mood,” translating the track’s emotional tone into animated typography and motion graphics. The video focuses on rhythm, pacing, and visual attitude, using type as the main expressive element.
Rather than treating the lyrics as static text, I animated them in response to the song’s energy, allowing words to appear, shift, and move with the beat. The visual direction was built around mood and momentum, creating a piece that feels emotionally charged while still functioning clearly as a lyric video.
The project explores how typography can act as both language and performance, turning the lyrics into a visual extension of the song.
