The Void is an experimental short film exploring loneliness as a psychological and emotional space. The film follows Kennedy as a solitary figure moving through a series of symbolic environments, each representing a different state of isolation, memory, and inner conflict.
I recorded, edited, and voiced the entire short film, using narration to guide the viewer through the emotional structure of the piece. The voiceover describes loneliness as an empty jar that both is an enemy and a companion.
Through editing, sound, and pacing, the film moves between surreal imagery and emotional reflection. Each scene becomes a different dimension of the same feeling: being surrounded by the world, yet still disconnected from it. While the film sits inside despair and solitude, it also ends with the possibility of hope, suggesting that even within the darkness of the void, connection and reality can still be reached.
