COSPAS SARSAT

I designed a proposed logo identity for the 71st Session of the COSPAS-SARSAT Council Meeting in Riyadh. The meeting was connected to international search-and-rescue systems, satellite communication, and civil aviation, so the identity needed to feel official, technical, and internationally recognizable.

The logo concept was inspired by the form of satellite dishes and orbital signal movement, translating the meeting’s focus on satellite-based search and rescue into a clean graphic mark. I created logo directions for both the open and closed meetings, allowing the identity to adapt across different meeting formats while staying consistent within the same visual system.

The proposed identity was intended to appear across the event’s main touchpoints, including badges, notebooks, pens, tent cards, directional signage, podium branding, meeting screens, flags, and giveaway materials. Although our company was not awarded the final bid due to the proposed budget being higher than the client’s target, the project remained a strong identity proposal and an example of designing for a formal international aviation event.
